It’s been two years since Maserati returned to the supercar segment with the MC20. The car came with the all-new and powerful Nettuno V6 engine, and Novitec had the opportunity to perfect it, massaging the engine and design.
The MC20 packs the company’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, which rolls off the factory floor producing 621 horsepower (463 kilowatts) and 538 pound-feet (729 Newton-meters) of torque. It propelled the supercar to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 2.9 seconds. Novitec increased output by 80 hp (60 kW) and 64 lb-ft (88 Nm), bringing the total to 711 hp (523 kW) and 603 lb-ft (818 Nm).

The extra oomph cut 0.1 seconds from the 0-62 time, dropping it to 2.8. It will reach 124 mph (200 kph) in just 8.4 seconds. The supercar’s top speed has also increased from 201 mph (323 kph) to over 202 mph (325 kph). Novitec does not provide a specific top speed number.
Novitec achieves additional power by adding its two plug-and-play N-Tronic modules that change the car’s electronic engine control system. It implements new injection, improved pressure control, and ignition timing maps. Novitec also added a high-performance exhaust system with a sports exhaust, so the engine can breathe easier.
It is optionally available with active sound management, and customers can get the exhaust system in stainless steel or Inconel. Novitec offers 999 pure gold plating for the exhaust system as an added upgrade. Complementing the exhaust system is a carbon/stainless exhaust pipe of 100 millimeters in diameter.
Tuning specialists also modified the Maserati’s aerodynamics, adding a new spoiler lip and a new ducktail rear spoiler. Both improve the car’s handling by helping to keep the car on the race track. Maserati has also added bare carbon inserts to the front hood and air inlets.
Novitec’s visual enhancements include the new NF 10 wheels developed with Vossen. A staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear help further emphasize the MC20’s wedge shape. Inside, the tuner offers customers a variety of customization options with smooth skins and Alcantara on the menu.
