After being hampered by supplier problems, the Onyx Lite Package is again available to order on the new Cadillac XT4 2023 unit. Cadillac Society has learned.
As a reminder, the Onyx Lite Package is available to order on the Cadillac XT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport 2023 trim levels, and adds $2,195 to the price of the luxury crossover. The exterior accent package includes the following equipment (relevant production codes are listed in brackets):
- 20 inch Gloss Black Wheels (SKW)
- Gloss Black (RIK) XT4 nameplate
- Cadillac Monochrome (SFZ) Emblem
The Onyx Lite Package is an amended version of the regular (non-Lite) Onyx Package (production code PDB), which is offered on the XT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels where available. It costs $2,695 and includes the following content (relevant production code in brackets):
- Black surround grille with Black mesh (RZ9)
- 20 inch Gloss Black Wheels (SKW)
- Cadillac Monochrome (SFZ) Emblem
The main difference between the Onyx XT4 Light Pack and the regular Onyx Pack is the Black surround grille with Black mesh included in the former. It seems that the grille problem is what caused Cadillac to make the Onyx Light package, replacing the grille with the Gloss Black XT4 nameplate. However, both plans are currently available.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT4 sold in North America is powered exclusively by a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), producing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission delivers power forward to the wheels as standard or to all four wheels via an all-wheel-drive system as an additional cost option.
Pricing for the Cadillac XT4 2023 starts at $37,490 for the base Luxury trim level, while the Premium Luxury starts at $41,390. Finally, Sports starts at $41,990. Production for the 2023 model year begins on June 10th, 2022, at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee. Initially, the XT4 was slated to receive a mid-cycle update for the 2023 model year, but the update was delayed to the 2024 model year. Cadillac Society recently saw an updated XT4 prototype undergoing testing.
