Currently, the Cadillac Lyriq is only offered in the Luxury trim level – the base trim level in the Cadillac Y trim level hierarchy. Cadillac Society As previously reported, a more complete lineup of trim levels is on the way for the luxury electric crossover. One of these incoming trim levels is the Lyriq Sport, which – as we exclusively reported earlier this month – will feature a unique front LED “grill” different from the one used on the Luxury trim. Now, we’ve exclusively captured the Lyriq Sport on camera for the first time, giving us a real-world look at the exterior elements of the electric crossover.

Here we can see the Lyriq Sport’s unique “grill pattern”, which gives the luxury crossover a more aggressive expression than the current Luxury model. The “grill” has black all around and the LED pattern inside is also different, making the front of the vehicle appear wider. However, the horizontal and vertical lighting elements on both sides of the fascia are the same as those seen on the current Lyriq model.

Sleek black trim can be found around the vehicle’s side windows, giving the Lyriq a more sinister overall look. This carries over to the rear of the crossover, as the taillights have been darkened and feature a smoky (Neutral Density) coating.

Additionally, a glimpse of the interior reveals one of the new colorways that will be offered for the Cadillac Lyriq 2024, which features white piping in the center of the backrest.

As far as powertrain, the upcoming Lyriq Sport will likely feature a dual motor setup that facilitates higher power output and all-wheel-drive. This dual motor configuration is found in the Lyriq AWD variant, where it produces over 500 horsepower, a figure that befits the Sport moniker.

Comparatively, the Cadillac Lyriq Launch Edition 2023 features a single Ultium motor mounted on the rear axle, delivering 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque for an estimated driving range of 312 miles. The all-new Lyriq uses the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform, and is assembled at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee.
