Bagnaia at -30 from Quartararo
Bastianini has never really attempted the lunge, any mistake would have been unforgivable, among other things just a few days after the announcement of the change in the team Ducati factory from next year. In the final straight the Gresini driver tries to sink a joke against his compatriot, but it is Pecco who wins his fourth consecutive victory in this 2022 season. Maverick Vinales climbs on the lowest step of the podium in San Marino.
Big party at the Ducati garage where we begin to review the world championship dream: “It was tough, at the beginning I was struggling with the grip, with Enea we set incredible times – tells Pecco Bagnaia in the closed park -. As the fuel decreased, the feeling with the tires improved. I am very happy with this victory“. Enea Bastianini climbs on the podium for the fourth time in 2022 after three victories in Losail, Austin and Le Mans. “I feel good, I tried to win on the last lap, but Pecco was very strong. I am happy, at the beginning my confidence was not optimal but then the feeling improved and the grip at the rear also improved. I am happy for the team, for the fans and for my friends“.

Alex Rins, Brad Binder, Jorge Martin and Alex Marquez complete the top-10, with a Honda that finally manages to hit a position in the top ten. 12th Andrea Dovizioso who ends his career here after twenty years in the World Championship, 15 victories in the premier class and a world title in the 125cc class.
