With Super Bowl LVI just around the corner, Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, is releasing its advertising spots for the upcoming big game. Centered around GM’s Ultium electric powertrain platform, the ad featured several electric GM products, including the Cadillac Lyriq along with the vehicles that make up Cadillac’s Halo Concept Portfolio: InnerSpace, SocialSpace, and PersonalSpace.

Funny ad titled “Dr. EV-il,” Mike Meyers reprises his role as Dr. Evil from Austin Powers series. He and his nefarious comrades have taken over GM’s headquarters at the Renaissance Center, and they realize they’ve found something great: the Ultium platform, which they decide can “power their entire operation,” while reducing exhaust emissions during their quest for world domination. . Dr. Evil believes he must save the world before he can take over, and promises to do everything he can to achieve it.

He and his crew then entered the garage, where many electric vehicles were parked. Immediately, we recognized the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq electric luxury crossover, which rides on the BEV3 platform with Ultium as the powertrain. Production of the Lyriq will begin in a few months at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

Apart from the Lyriq, we also see the Cadillac InnerSpace – a coupe-like, two-seater autonomous electric vehicle concept. At the back of the line are some SocialSpace concepts, which are mobile lounges that can transport up to six people independently. And on the far right is the PersonalSpace (VTOL) autonomous flying machine, which has a single seat and is designed for easy and fast transportation between buildings in urban environments. These three vehicles make up the Halo Concept Portfolio, which represents Cadillac’s mission to create an all-electric future while streamlining the way we travel. Neither vehicle is actually rendered, and instead exists as a digital render.

Other vehicles from GM’s wider portfolio include the Chevrolet Silverado EV, the GMC Hummer EV pickup truck, and the electric BrightDrop delivery vehicle.
