2022 Cadillac XT4 Gets Service Update For Parking Assist Indicator Issue

Cadillac has issued a Service Update for certain units of the 2022 Cadillac XT4 to address an issue with the Parking Assist indicator light.

Problem: The colored visual signal light that flashes during parking assistance at the Driver Information Center must not flash with a red, orange or yellow light when the vehicle is approaching an object in its path.

Danger: if the alert light does not come on to warn the driver when parking, the driver may not notice an object in the vehicle’s path, increasing the risk of an accident.

The fix: The dealer will perform the Configuration and Setup procedure on the 2022 Cadillac XT4 Instrument Cluster. This procedure will be performed at no cost to the vehicle owner.

Affected components:

  • Driver Information Center
  • Instrument cluster
  • Parking Assistance light

Affected vehicles: 2022 Cadillac XT4

Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac has not indicated how many individual units of the 2022 Cadillac XT4 are affected by this issue.

The next step: Cadillac will contact affected XT4 owners with instructions to make an appointment with the dealer of choice. To find out if a particular Cadillac XT4 is included in this Service Update, owners can contact Cadillac directly with any questions or concerns they may have using the information included below. It is important to note that this is a Service Renewal, not a recall, and will expire at the end of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period.
