Even the ultra-high-performance Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 2023 is not safe from production constraints. Cadillac Society have learned that the current model’s Full Semi-Analine Leather Seat is being withheld from the super sedan.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the full semi-aniline leather front seats with Mini-perforated inserts and custom quilting, plus the carbon fiber front seats are not currently available to order on the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing due to supplier issues.
When available, the aforementioned Full Semi-Aniline Leather Chair costs $8,040 to equip, and is offered in the following colorways (relevant production codes are listed in brackets):
- Jet Black with Jet Black Accent (HMR)
- Natural Tan with Jet Black Accent (HJC)
- Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents (HJD)
However, the front bucket seats are still available in other finishes. Front Leather Seating Surface with Mini-Perforated inserts in Jet Black with Jet Black accents (production code HGA) is standard on the CT5-V Blackwing and is currently available. Additionally, the optional front bucket high performance Leather Seating Surface with sued front seatbacks, priced at $2,890, is still available in the following colours:
- Jet Black with Jet Black (HEA) accents
- Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black (HEB) accents
As a reminder, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), tuned to produce 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, which is channeled exclusively to the rear wheels. This super sedan uses the Alpha 2 platform from the luxury brand, and is assembled at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. Production of the 2023 model year starts on July 18th.
The super sedan gets more expensive for the 2023 model year, starting at $92,390 for models featuring a standard six-speed manual transmission, while the 10-speed automatic brings the starting MSRP to $95,565.
