Frontier GTX RV Combines Work And Play With Dedicated Office Space

There are many great RVs on the market, offering all kinds of variations with interior layouts. Fleetwood RV hopes to carve out a special place in this segment by serving those who continue to work while touring the countryside. That’s why the company’s latest luxury RV is available with an optional office, and not just a desk with space for a laptop.

The list of options for the new Frontier GTX 37RT has lists for Corner Office, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. Located in the back corner of the motorhome is an L-shaped desk surrounded by drawers for storage. A built-in monitor mounts to the wall, ready for a laptop or even desktop computer connection. One set of doors can close a small room to an entire RV. And to remind you of all the fun you’re supposed to be having, there’s a window to stare out longingly as you work on your spreadsheet.

“If you think about a family traveling in a 37-foot RV, activity could continue in the coach’s main living room while someone is in a remote office making calls, responding to emails, or taking tests,” says Doug. Miller, product manager for the company’s Class A motorhomes. “We feel the 37RT floor plan provides privacy, flexibility and functionality without sacrificing any of the features and amenities that are important to RVers.”

The rest of the motorhome is standard-issue luxury RV life, though standard certainly an understatement in this segment. The three slides expand to provide plenty of space for the living room with a queen-sized sleeper sofa and fireplace. The central kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, microwave, large sink and full size refrigerator. The bathroom has a separate toilet and standing shower, and the bedroom is large enough for a king bed with dressing table and wardrobe. The office is outside the bedroom at the back, but if you refuse to work while on vacation, it becomes part of the wardrobe.

Underneath, the Frontier GTX uses a Freightliner chassis with a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine that produces 360 horsepower. An 8.0-kilowatt Onan generator is on-board for power, and carries a 100-gallon tank for fresh water.

Pricing for the Frontier GTX starts at around $400,000.
