The first production-spec Rimac Nevera has been completed, and Nico Rosberg will accept it. He recorded the entire experience at the automaker’s headquarters in Zagreb, Croatia, while hanging out with company boss Mate Rimac.
Before Rosberg took delivery of his Nevera, he and Rimac toured the halls where the company kept prototypes for the model. At the end of the line, there was the Bugatti Chiron, and the pair started discussing the next model from Bugatti. Rimac lets some interesting details out.

First, he pointed to the Chiron and said it was one of the last with the W16 engine. After Rosberg pressed a bit, Rimac said: “It’s going in the opposite direction that everyone probably expected.” Lastly, Rosberg offered a hint that he also bought an AMG One with a V6 engine, and “leave it there.”
We already know that the successor to the Chiron uses an electric powertrain. Taking the statement in this video as a whole, it looks like the hypercar might use far fewer cylinders than the current W16.
Then, Rosberg finally took delivery of his new hypercar. Rimac complains about Nevera’s locks having to be plastic for the antennas inside to work. He prefers to use metal and carbon, but those materials block the signal.
When Rosberg climbed into Nevera, he put on white gloves and took off his shoes. He seemed very impressed with the car. The infotainment screen controls everything, including adjusting the seats and steering wheel. A button next to the steering wheel moves through the driving modes.
Nevera has 14 cameras. Rimac explains that this is to benefit people who use hypercars on the track. Drivers can download footage and overlay vehicle telemetry into video.
Rosberg promises future videos where he and Rimac drive together in Nevera. We can’t wait to see what the former Formula One driver thinks of the 1,914 horsepower (1,408 kilowatt) engine.
