This is the battle of British luxury. CarWow challenged the Aston Martin DBX707 against the Bentley Flying Spur.
The DBX707 is a performance-focused version of Aston Martin’s crossover. It packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that produces 697 horsepower (707 metric hp or 520 kW) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Power is channeled through a nine-speed wet clutch automatic gearbox to both axles.

Aston Martin will take on the Flying Spur. According to the video, this is the most powerful Bentley available in Europe as the Bentayga Speed does not meet emission regulations. The W12’s 6.0-liter twin-turbo sedan produces 626 hp (467 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm). A dual clutch, eight-speed automatic transmission directs output to an all-wheel drive system.
The challenge starts with a drag race. Bentley got the better start from the line but couldn’t take the lead. Aston Martin took the lead to win.
They are back in the race. This time, the DBX707’s wheels turned slightly early on, which allowed the Flying Spur to take the lead. Aston Martin got up and managed to win. Bentley is hot in the tail of the SUV.

There’s one more drag race, and the DBX707 gets off to a great start. This time Aston Martin drove to victory.
Next, they ran from a speed of 50 miles per hour (80 kilometers per hour) with the vehicle in their comfort mode. For a large sedan, Bentley showed quick acceleration and an easy win against Aston Martin.
They’re back on the road again, but this time the model is in sport mode and manual gearbox settings. This time, the DBX707 initially took the lead, but the Flying Spur got a speed spike in the second half of the distance. Bentley narrowly won.
Finally, there is a braking test from 100 mph (161 kph). For a sedan of that size, Bentley demonstrates impressive stopping ability by stopping about half the length of the car shorter than the Aston Martin.
