The new Rolls-Royce Specter spy shot shows off the EV interior for the first time. The photos are part of a new batch that has captured testing the coupe in public.
Interior spy shots reveal the automaker is trying to hide the dashboard and instrument panel. However, it cannot hide everything. The vents and IP stack are visible, matching the Cullinan layout. Things are different with the top of the dashboard, which has a new shape in Specter. The EV also features a dual-display setup that looks similar to BMW’s curved screen. Rolls should receive its own version of BMW’s iDrive 8 infotainment software.

The Specter’s design resemblance to the Cullinan is no accident. The new EV will use the company’s Architecture of Luxury platform, which underpins Cullinan and Phantom. EVs will arrive with new suspension technology that scans the road ahead to inform how the suspension system should operate in the face of impending danger.
Rolls-Royce is keeping details of the car’s powertrain secret for now. The EV is still in the first half of its development phase, and we suspect that specs like range and output are still a bit fluid. However, according to rumors, the car’s dual motor setup should produce between 600-650 horsepower (441-478 kilowatts). We know the car won’t arrive in a Ludicrous Mode like the Tesla, with the automaker focused on designing and engineering an EV that delivers a “true Rolls-Royce experience.” The quiet and powerful EV powertrain fits perfectly into the company’s ethos.
There are exterior spy shots, but they don’t reveal anything we haven’t seen before. The car continues to wear its branded camouflage wrap; however, it looks like a Rolls, with its upright front end, long hood, wide roofline, and protruding rear fenders.
The automaker has yet to announce an official debut date for the car, although we know it will join Rolls’ lineup in the final quarter of 2023. So far, the company believes it has completed about 40 percent of the Specter’s development. We expect the company to continue to tease EVs, and we look forward to learning more over the next year.
