Outside of the Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition, the luxury crossover is currently only offered in the Luxury trim, which is the base trim level in keeping with Cadillac Y’s trim level strategy. But a more complete lineup of trim levels is on the horizon for the Lyriq 2024 range, and one of the trims that will be available is the same. entry is Sport. Among other things to distinguish it, the Lyriq Sport will get a unique front grille.

Obviously the electric Lyriq battery doesn’t need the traditional grille to function as an air intake, so designers were allowed to explore other options for the vehicle’s front fascia. The result is a front grille cover with an integrated LED pattern. The upcoming Lyriq Sport will retain the same LED grille as the current Luxury model, but the Sport will have a different LED pattern.

In addition to the front grille, we expect the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq Sport to blacken the various chrome exterior accents of the Luxury model, while also offering a different set of wheels (more sporty) and a set of neutral-density (clear) tail lamp housings. A set of trim-specific interior colorways and trim materials are also expected to be part of the Sport trim, as is the full (full) feature list.

Recently, Cadillac Society delivers what we hoped would look like a Cadillac Lyriq Sport, but our rendition featured the same front grille as the Debut Edition model. However, we added some Sport-inspired exterior accents, such as blackened trim pieces, glossy black alloy wheels, and dark taillights that surround the clear housing.

On the powertrain, the Lyriq Sport will likely feature a dual motor setup that facilitates higher power output and all-wheel drive. This dual motor configuration is found in the Lyriq AWD variant, where it produces over 500 horsepower.

Comparatively, the Cadillac Lyriq Launch Edition 2023 features a single Ultium motor mounted on the rear axle, delivering 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque for an estimated driving range of 312 miles. The all-new Lyriq uses the luxury brand’s BEV3 platform, and is assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
