2023 Cadillac XT6 Super Cruise Under Constraint

Super Cruise, Cadillac’s semi-autonomous driver assistance system, is once again impacted by the ongoing global shortage of microchips. This time, the Super Cruise will be limited to the 2023 Cadillac XT6.

Under normal conditions, Super Cruise (UKL production code) is an additional cost option on the XT6 Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, and is not available at all for the base Luxury trim.

Typically, the Super Cruise on the Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury 2023 trim costs an additional $2,500, and must be added along with several other optional packages, including:

• Technology Package (production code Y4N) – $2,350
• Driver Assistance Package (production code Y6F) – $1,200
• Real-time damping suspension (production code F45) – $1,200
• Premium Headlamp System (UWN production code) – $800

Combined, these upgrades add $8,150 to the overall cost of the XT6.

For the XT6 Sport, the Super Cruise is a $2,500 option, and should also be added along with the following upgrades:

• Technology Package (production code Y4N) – $2,350
• Driver Assistance Package (production code Y66) – $1,300
• Premium Headlight System (UWN production code) – $700

Combined, these features total $6,850.

At this time, it’s unclear if Super Cruise’s availability will become even wider.

Riding on the C1 platform, the Cadillac XT6 2023 is offered with two petrol engine options. The first is a naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), with 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. This engine is standard on the Premium Luxury and Sport models and can be identified by the 400 badge on the liftgate. Meanwhile, the base Luxury model features a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), which makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This model wears the 350T badge on the elevator doors. Both engines are connected to a Cadillac nine-speed automatic transmission. Production of the XT6 takes place at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for the North American market.

Prices for the base Cadillac XT6 Luxury 2023 start at $49,990 for the front-wheel-drive model, while all-wheel-drive brings the starting price to $51,990. Premium Luxury trim with FWD starts at $56,190, and AWD is $58,190. Meanwhile, the Sport trim is offered exclusively in AWD, and prices start at $61,490.
