The Cadillac XT4 2024 will receive a mid-cycle refresh for the small luxury crossover. Last month, Cadillac Society took some photos of the prototype undergoing testing, giving us an early glimpse of the upcoming XT4, albeit heavily shrouded in camouflage. Despite all that camo, we were still able to get a decent look at the crossover’s taillight design.

The large vinyl camo hides the finer details of the 2024 Cadillac XT4’s exterior styling, but the taillights show through the mesh cutout at the rear of the vehicle. The cutout in the camo reveals an L-shaped taillight assembly that slopes slightly downwards towards the lift doors, while the vertical section extends towards the roof of the vehicle.
The overall layout is very similar to the current pre-refreshed Cadillac XT4, but the headlights appear to be more angled, with the vertical sections leaning more towards the outside of the vehicle while the horizontal sections are slightly tilted downwards.

That said, the XT4’s square interior lighting graphics seem to have carried over into this Cadillac XT4 2024 prototype, along with the Neutral Density taillight color scheme for the Sport model.
Beyond the revised taillights, the 2024 XT4 will feature a revised front and rear fascia, complete with new lighting elements. Additionally, the wheels on the prototype – which appear to be a Sport trim – appear brand new, as the current XT4 lineup does not offer the pattern seen here. Beneath the unique wheels are red brake calipers, which were previously offered as an optional upgrade for the 2021 model year before being discontinued in 2022.

We expect the Cadillac XT4 2024 to retain the current model’s single engine option: a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY). Under the hood of a refreshed 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 model year XT4, the upgraded four-cylinder petrol engine has 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It is very likely that the updated model will see an increase in those numbers.

Inside, we expect the Cadillac XT4 2024 to feature a revised cockpit, complete with a curved, horizontally oriented center screen like the Cadillac Lyriq.
