The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV has finally arrived months after it was announced at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show. Chevy promises front, rear, and all-wheel-drive variants are on their way, and the company is even making special versions for the police. Its range can reach 320 miles (515 kilometers).

Chevy has not detailed the specifications for all trim levels. The ultimate Blazer EV SS offers 557 horsepower (415 kilowatts) and 648 pound-feet (879 Newton-meters) of torque. The vehicle boasts what the company calls a Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode that allows the sporty EV to hit 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in under four seconds. The charging system supports up to 11.5 kilowatts when plugged into a level 2 AC outlet or 190 kW on a DC fast charger.

The Blazer EV will be available in 1LT, 2LT, RS, and SS trim levels. The LT grade has a monochromatic exterior look and comes standard with 19-inch wheels. The RS has a black grille and trim, in addition to riding on 21-inch wheels. The SS comes with a black roof and 22-inch alloy wheels.

The RS and SS are also equipped with specially decorated LED lights and a Chevy badge that lights up when the driver is approaching or leaving. When plugged in, the lights flash sequentially to indicate the vehicle’s charging status.

Inside, the Blazer EV comes with a large 17.7-inch infotainment screen diagonally across the center of the dashboard. There’s also an 11-inch display for the digital instrument cluster. GM Super Cruise’s advanced driving assistance system is an option.

There is no start button in the cabin. Instead, the vehicle senses the lock, and the driver only needs to press the brake pedal to get the Blazer EV ready for use.

The RS and SS classes come with more features in the cabin. The RS has blue and red contrast stitching, and the SS is available in a mix of Adrenaline Red and Argon Orange trims. This model also gets a flat-bottom steering wheel and turbine-like HVAC vents. They come with heated and ventilated front seats.

The Blazer EV comes as standard with the Chevy Safety Assist technology suite. These include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, front pedestrian braking, distance following indicator, fixed lane assist with lane departure warning, and smart headlights. Automatic reverse braking and parking assistance are also available.

In the summer of 2023, the Blazer EV 2LT and RS go on sale at an estimated price of $47,595 and $51,995, respectively. The SS arrived later that year for $65,995. 1LT joins the range in Q1 2024 with a forecast of $44,995.

The Police Pursuit Vehicle model will also arrive in Q1 2024. It will use the SS grade as a starting point and will come with the largest Ultium battery in the lineup. Law enforcement will be able to choose a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive layout. They will have a special cabin for this job.
