VW Bus is officially back this year with the debut of the VW ID. buzzing. And to make further buzz about the newest electric bus, Volkswagen has officially announced the 2023 VW Bus Festival to be held in Hannover, Germany where ID. Buzz is being produced by VW Commercial Vehicles.
In fact, the German automaker is giving attendees a long slack, with more than 340 days before the 2023 VW Bus Festival takes place on June 23-25, 2023. Organizers of VW Commercial Vehicles expect the event to gather up to 100,000 visitors from around the world and over 6,000 vehicles adorn the exhibition parking lot.

Visitors to the VW Bus Festival are not limited to the new US-bound VW ID. buzzing. Current and historic VW camper vans and Microbus models are equally welcome, right down to the T1 and Kombi, even the new Multivan PHEV.
“The interaction between all the various VW Bus models from all these eras is in the soul of the people. We are delighted that 16 years after the last festival, this globally unique automotive phenomenon will be back on stage in 2023,” said Lars Krause, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen’s Commercial Vehicle Brand for Sales and Marketing.
The 2023 VW Bus Festival will last for three days. It will be a “festival as an expression of its approach to life,” according to VW, with VW Bus fans partying together, listening to live music, talking in stores, and camping for three days. It aims to follow the success of the 2007 VW Bus Festival, which to this day ranks as the biggest VW Bus event of all time.
Camping tickets for the 2023 VW Bus Festival start at 29 euros and can only be ordered online. The money accounts for the entire weekend, entitles ticket holders (and up to three companions) to purchase a valid VW Bus vehicle, access to campsite sanitation facilities, and, of course, access to festival grounds.
