Every week we publish many renderings. While some of them see actual new models coming in the next few months, others are mostly done for fun. They envision super-futuristic creations that likely won’t hit the production line any time soon, if ever at all.
here at Motor1.com, we all love virtual images and that’s why we thought we’d share one additional rendering article each week. It combines the best design exercises created by our own artists, as well as images provided by independent automotive designers, students and just regular gearheads.
We’ll be updating this article with new renderings from last week every Thursday. That way, you’ll have all the cool digital interpretations that come in handy when you want a glimpse into the future.
Sport Lightweight Coupe – BMW will be bringing back the legendary moniker that was last used in the E9 generation. This render proposes a radical design that has got us excited about very limited performance vehicles.

The new Civic Type R is just around the corner. It will debut later this month with an evolution of Honda’s 2.0-liter engine under the hood. It will debut in time for the Civic’s 50th anniversary.

The next-generation Mitsubishi L200 – known in some markets as the Triton or Strada – is likely to arrive later this year or early next year. Design-wise, it will be an evolution of the current model and will be coupled with the new Nissan Navara.

Spy photos have shown Toyota is working on a new-generation Tacoma. The truck is still about a year away from debuting but this rendering shows a heavily disguised prototype.
