The next entry in the exciting Gymkhana automotive film series appears to include the stunt where Travis Pastrana in his 1983 Subaru GL Family Huckster jumps over a bridge in the Florida Keys. This video records the action.

Short clip of Instagram user ToddAFrank shows the Family Huckster speeding down the road and jumping over the part where the way out of the way. There were people on the boat watching the action, and you could hear them cheering after the Pastrana flew through the gap.

The action took place in Marathon, Florida. This is a location roughly in the middle of the Florida Keys which is southwest of Key Largo and northeast of Key West.

While the Family Huckster borrows the look of the 1983 GL. Not much of the original Subaru remains. The vehicle has a tubular space frame chassis, and the body panels are made of carbon fiber. Plus, there are active aero elements around every corner. The rear spoiler can be extended to allow the wings to create more additional downforce.

Power comes from a four-cylinder turbocharged boxer that produces 862 horsepower (634 kilowatts). The power is channeled through a six-speed sequential gearbox. The differential is the same model as Mount Washington Pastrana’s record-breaking WRX STI. The suspension is World Rally Championship spec, long ride setup.

Inside, the Family Huckster has a custom instrument cluster with a retrofuturistic look that evokes Knight Rider’s KITT. Stereo is from 1983 GL.

At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Pastrana clocked 46.20 seconds on the Family Huckster hill climb. It’s good enough to be the fourth fastest vehicle to take part in this year’s event. The winner was McMurtry Speirling who broke the record covering the distance in 39.08 seconds.

Beyond this bridge-jumping Pastrana, we don’t know much else about the new Gymkhana episode. Ken Block is rumored to be back behind the wheel of the Audi S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron. We don’t have many details yet about this retro all-wheel-drive performance coupe. Expect it to have plenty of power to earn its place among the high-powered and unique vehicles of the previous films in the series.
