Our spy photographer first caught the Honda Accord 2024 for the first time late last month. It didn’t take long for those spy shots to turn into renderings, and now we have patent images peeling back the camouflage to reveal a redesigned Honda sedan.
The new patent drawings, filed with the Brazilian government, reveal four doors from each corner. The image matches the car in the spy photo. The new Honda will receive a new face with a reshaped grille, new headlights and a refreshed bumper. The headlights are sleek and sit alongside a trapezoidal grille reminiscent of the late Ford Taurus. This car also has a narrow lower grille opening.

The new Accord will maintain the swooping roofline of the current car, ending with an all-new rear end design. The rear of the revamped Accord features new taillights that extend towards the vehicle’s centerline, where the badge will be. The sedan also received a new rear bumper that looks similar to the styling of the new Civic.
We don’t know if Honda will update the powertrain lineup, but the current Accord comes with a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder producing 192 horsepower (143 kilowatts) or a 252-hp (187-kW) 2.0-liter turbocharged. The Accord Hybrid is also available, and pairs a 2.0-liter non-turbo engine and electric motor for 212 hp (158 kW).
Honda has confirmed that it will offer a new hybrid variant with a redesign, which the company says will be revealed after the CR-V Hybrid. The crossover has made its debut, and will go on sale before the end of the year, which means an Accord reveal will soon follow.
Honda is likely to revamp the interior of the Accord in addition to a redesign of the exterior. Cars should accept a cleaner overall design packed with the latest technology and screens.
We don’t know exactly when Honda will reveal the sedan, but it could happen later this year or early next year. The new Accord will arrive in the US market sometime next year for the 2024 model year.
