A few weeks ago, Cadillac announced that it would soon be introducing the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition 2023. The new special edition will be offered as three vehicles with unique exclusive stickers and styling, and interested parties won’t have to wait too long to open an order book.
The order book for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition 2023 will open on August 1stst, 2022, according to a recent announcement by the luxury brand. Customers will be able to order one of three Track Edition models – Road America IMSA Edition, Watkins Glen IMSA Edition, and Sebring IMSA Edition. Each is inspired by the North American race tracks where Cadillac found success in its racing endeavors.
Full details on the new CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models haven’t been revealed, but Cadillac indicated that each will be equipped with a Carbon Fiber 1 and Carbon Fiber 2 package, along with exclusive decals on the hood and doors, as well as an IMSA sticker on the front splitter. . Inside, the models will feature unique colors and graphics. In addition, they will each display the silhouette of their respective race tracks in the rear window.
It is also likely that the Road Atlanta IMSA Edition will sport Summit White, the Sebring IMSA Edition will be painted with Maverick Noir Frost, and the Watkins Glen IMSA Edition will be decorated with Electric Blue.
We didn’t expect the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition to feature any performance improvements over the “regular” Blackwing CT4-V. In other words, this special edition model will likely be an appearance package that retains the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine (production code LF4), which makes 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with the marque’s deluxe six-speed manual transmission as standard or a 10-speed automatic as an option.
