2023 Cadillac CT4 Production Will Start On This Date

Production of the Cadillac CT4 2023 is about to begin, Cadillac Society has learned.

Based on Cadillac Society sources, production of the marque’s entry-level luxury sedan will start on July 18^th2022. Assembly of the luxury sedan takes place at the Lansing Grand River Plant, which is responsible for producing not only the “regular” CT4, but also the performance-oriented CT4-V and the ultra-high-performance CT4-V Blackwing.

As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 features a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), producing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This is standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. Models with this engine get the 350T designation on the decklid as part of Cadillac’s torque-based nomenclature. From there, a turbocharged 2.7L I4 engine (production code L3B) is optional on the CT4 Premium Luxury, which produces 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This model wears the 500T badge. The sportier CT4-V is powered by the same 2.7L I4 turbocharged engine, but tuned for 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.

The 2023 model year marks the fourth year for the CT4 and CT4-V, and the second for the ultra-high-performance Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, introduced in 2022. The 2023 Blackwing CT4-V will continue to feature its twin. -Turbocharged V6 engine (production code LF4), capable of producing up to 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. All the horses fill the pavement via either the standard six-speed manual transmission or the 10-speed automatic, throwing power exclusively through the two rear wheels.

The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing 2023 will offer sealed shipping as an option, allowing customers the ability to ship their super sedan in a sealed container to protect it from the elements during transportation from the factory to the destination dealer.
