Just in August 2021, Lamborghini reached the hearts of automotive enthusiasts around the world and put them into overdrive. The Italian brand released a teaser video for the new Countach out of the blue, and then a few days later, revealed it in full. Not as a concept car or a fantastic rendering, but an official production car that will go on sale in 2022.
We are now in the middle of 2022, and deliveries of the Countach LPI 800-4 customers have started. Lamborghini recently headed to Japan with a reborn supercar, marking its first appearance in the land of the rising sun. In particular, a small group of special guests were invited to Warehouse Terrada where the new red Countach joins its predecessor, the 1989 25th Anniversary model also looks fantastic in red. Lamborghini didn’t tell us the exact red color applied to the new model – more than 30 colors combining new and vintage colors are available to buyers – but the classic Countach sporting a Siviglia Red coat is better than ever.

“We are very pleased to present the Countach LPI 800-4 in conjunction with the Countach’s 25th Anniversary 1989 to our media friends in Japan,” said Francesco Scardaoni, Asia Pacific regional director for Lamborghini. “The Countach has been one of Lamborghini’s most popular models since it was first introduced to the world five decades ago. As we begin shipping the first Countach LPI 800-4 to our discerning owners in Japan, we can hope that the Countach will continue to make many people turn around when it comes to on the streets of Japan as it has been for the past fifty years.”
Supercars are officially in Japan, but you won’t see them at dealerships with a price tag. In this case, you won’t see sticker prices on any new Countach regardless of location. Lamborghini only built 112 and each one had been on sale a long time ago. And with a V12 hybrid engine producing 803 horsepower (599 kilowatts) to handle all four wheels, it’s certainly as fast as it looks.
