The 2023 Cadillac Escalade will enter production in mid-July, and Cadillac Society have learned that some units will not be equipped with the four-way power lumbar seat adjustment feature.
Driver’s and front passenger’s four-way power lumbar seat adjusters are standard across all Cadillac Escalade trim levels. However, comfort features are currently limited from the Escalade Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels. These models will be equipped with a two-way power lumbar seat adjustment instead.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum, and Escalade-V 2023 trim levels are not affected by the limitations of the four-way lumbar adjuster, and will have the features included.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the lumbar adjuster feature has been restricted from the luxury marque’s flagship vehicle. A similar scenario occurred last year, as the 2022 model year Escalade was assembled without a four-way lumbar seat adjuster starting November 1.st2021 production.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Escalade 2023 represents the third model year of the fifth-generation full-size luxury SUV. The “regular” Escalade is offered with two engine options: the first is a standard, naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87), capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This model wears the 600 badge on the elevator doors. The second is the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel (production code LM2), producing 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, sporting the 600D badge on the lift doors. Both engine options are connected to a Cadillac 10-speed automatic transmission that drives either the rear wheels or all four wheels via an optional 4WD system.

Brand new for the 2023 model year is the high-performance Escalade-V, which features a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), capable of 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque, making the Escalade-V the 2023 model year. strongest ever made. The supercharged engine bolts to a Cadillac 10-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels.
