First 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V To Be Auctioned For Charity

[ad_1]

The Cadillac Escalade-V 2023 will go into production later this year, and the first production model will be for sale in the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction.

Since the Escalade-V will not start production at the Arlington plant until after the auction, the winning bidder will be able to select the Cadillac dealer of choice for delivery. There will be an Escalade-V placeholder physically present on the auction block, but it will be a pre-production model that won’t be the VIN 001 model that will eventually ship to buyers.

Like the other VIN 001 vehicles Cadillac will build and auction, all proceeds from sales of the first Cadillac Escalade-V will be donated to the Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design. This institution is the only Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in Michigan. In addition, the auction winner will have the opportunity to meet Dr. D’Wayne Edwards, a renowned athletic shoe designer and founder of Pensole Lewis College, to design an exclusive pair of sneakers that will be produced in very limited capacity.

The Cadillac Escalade-V 2023 is powered by the luxury marque’s supercharged V8 engine (production code LT4), which makes 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. The 10-speed automatic transmission sends all that power to the curb, hooked up to a full-time all-wheel-drive drivetrain.

The Cadillac Escalade-V 2023 will go on sale later this summer, and will carry an MSRP of $149,990 for the regular-length model. The extended Escalade-V ESV will start at $152,990. The VIN 001 Escalade-V is likely to get much more than that at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction, which kicks off June 30.th.
