Former FBI Mobile Command Center Looks Like Good Start For Imposing RV

It’s not every day you see a former FBI mobile command center for sale. GSA Auction sell this one it was previously from the Seattle bureau. Currently, the offer is at $33,433 with unfilled reserves. It ends on February 3 at 19:00 CST (13:00 GMT on February 4).

This vehicle looks impressive on the outside in a monochrome gray color without any embellishments. At 42 feet long, it’s also big. The exterior is all business with lots of open latches to access the storage area. The door at the back hides a separate generator to power anything in the back.

Really cool stuff is in the vehicle. The current layout looks like an office, and the auction listing records the sale including three tables and three stacks of chairs. The server rack is empty and lots of exposed wires are still stuck to the walls. There are slideouts on each side to expand the space once you find a place to park this large rig.

The aesthetic inside is like a business now. However, imagine buying this machine with the intention of turning it into a large RV. Don’t change anything on the outside to keep things mysterious. The interior will receive high-end materials and state-of-the-art facilities to create a luxurious home on wheels. The current layout lacks a bathroom, but with so much space, there must be a way to customize it.

The engine towing the mobile command center is the 2005 Freightliner Argosy semi-truck with just 75,487 miles (121,485 kilometers). Power comes from the Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine which is run via an Eaton-Fuller semi-manual transmission with a 6X4 drivetrain. The cabin does not have an entrance to the rear, but there is a special bed section for the driver.
