A concert plug-in hybrid of three electric motors and a twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, producing nearly 1,000 horsepower – the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is definitely not for everyone. Certainly no for Ukrainian millionaire Alex Slobozhenko who took a test drive in Dubai… and ended up crashing a ditch and wrecking that expensive supercar.
According to the Bulgarian site Automedia, Slobozhenko rented the SF90 Stradale to see if it was a worthy replacement for his Lamborghini Huracan. After that incident, it doesn’t look like the Ukrainian businessman is going anywhere near the SF90 any time soon.
Slobozhenko posted a video of the incident on his account Instagram but now it has been deleted and the account is private. That doesn’t stop multiple copies of the video from spreading online, as we embed in this article.
As you can see in the video, it looks like Slobozhenko lost control of the SF90 Stradale under hard acceleration. Footage from inside and outside the car was taken and edited into a single video. At the end of the clip, you can see the damage to the Ferrari bumper – damage that won’t go away and would cost a fortune to repair/replace.
Slobozhenko claims that the accident happened because of a technical problem.
However, there are those who theorize that the video of the crash was just a publicity stunt, given the various angles that make up the final cut. Slobozhenko also posted a video with monetization enabled, along with a dubious caption that hints the crash happened some time ago.
We will never know the truth behind this incident. But whether it’s staged or an actual unfortunate accident, damaging the most powerful Ferrari is definitely not cool – especially if it’s not your thing.
