Few modern supercars already look like Hot Wheels toys, but in the case of this Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder, it really is one. Designed as a sole from the venerable toy brand and the Lamborghini Centro Stile, the outfit responsible for Sant’Agata’s custom work, this Huracan “Supertoy” is as close as possible to a Hot Wheels car speeding down the highway.

But it’s also the product of a good cause. Motor1.com Italia is collaborating with Lamborghini and Hot Wheels for the Supertoys for Superkids project, which is meant to encourage children to enter the automotive industry. The Hot Wheels branded car will make its debut at the 2022 Milan Monza Motor Show.

Unique style

Mitja Borket, head of the Lamborghini Centro Stile opened the cover of the Lamborghini Supertoy and supervised its manufacture. The starting point is the Hurcan Evo Spyder, complete with a 5.2-liter V10 engine and all-wheel drive. Prior to entering the Centro Stile for modification, the one-off Evo Spyder starts with 20-inch forged wheels, sports seats, gloss black accents, and a Verde Alceo tri-color scheme that further emphasizes the clear wedge shape.

It may be a full-scale supercar, but it’s not without a Hot Wheels twist. Of course, there are orange and white flames, the hallmark of the toy. Graphics extend from the wheels and run along the sides and across the hood, while blue accents adorn the underside of the supercar, coloring the air inlet and headlight frames, rear fender, and door base and glass covers. There is also a logo required. An arrow crosses the top of the car, from the rear engine intake to the hood, and hides some of the easter eggs that the Lamborghini Centro Stile hid in this one-off project.

Where To See It?

The Lamborghini Huracan Supertoy will be at the Motor1.com booth (number 81) on Via Dei Mercanti until Sunday, 19 June. If you’re attending the Milan Monza Motor Show 2022, stop by and be sure to check out the hashtag #SupertoysforSuperkids for more.”
