The modern iteration of the Acura Integra will make its motorsport debut competing in the 100th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race on June 26. In addition, the automaker will carry two NSX Type S units and two TLX Type units. S to race there. An NSX Type S will be the official race car for the event.
The Integra race car has a stock powertrain consisting of a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 200 horsepower (149 kilowatts) and 192 pound-feet (260 Newton-meters) of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed manual. Acura went through the Honda Performance Development parts catalog to improve brakes, suspension and differentials. This car uses 18×9 inch HRE wheels with Pirelli 245 series racing smooth tires.

The Integra racer wears red, gray and white colors that take inspiration from the first generation model with back-to-back wins at the IMSA Championship in 1987 and 1988. Pikes Peak rookie Paul Hubers will drive the car on hill climbs.
Brothers James and Nick Robinson will race two NSX Type S vehicles that will compete at Pikes Peak. Acura says that the models have performance improvements, but the company didn’t go into details about their specifications.
Following the Integra’s debut last year, Acura Brand Office Jon Ikeda expressed interest in bringing the new model into motorsports. “We wanted this race, but maybe Honda’s PR and marketing people might have different ideas,” he said.
Previous iterations of the Integra found success on the track. RealTime Racing campaigns for Acura Integra Type R in the World Challenge Touring Car series and won the manufacturer’s championship in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002.
Integra 2023 is now starting to appear in showrooms. Prices start at $31,895 with a destination fee of $1,095. A-spec trim with a sportier look retails for $33,895. The A-Spec with Technology Package adds things like a larger infotainment screen, 16-speaker stereo, and a 5.3-inch heads-up display for $36,895.
