The latter Gran Turismo installment landed on PlayStation 4 in 2017. It’s been five long years, but next month, Gran Turismo 7 will land not only on PS4 but will also land on the new PlayStation 5 which seems to be a big boost to the game’s already stunning visuals. Sony Interactive Entertainment showcased the game at its recent State of Play event, going deeper into its features and systems in the 30-minute video above.

The game is filled with more than 400 cars and 34 locations with more than 90 different track layouts, but Gran Turismo 7 will offer much more. Racing is a core part of the game, but so is car culture. The new in-game Café locations bring automotive history and design to the fore while offering a select collection of cars that you can earn by completing certain challenges.

Gran Turismo 7 also comes with two new modes – Music Rally and Music Replay. Music Playback your racing videos into new and exciting cuts based on music, offering different edits, camera angles, and motion based on beats. That fun flows into Music Rally where drivers have to drive in a way that matches the beat of the music.

Tuning is back with a variety of things, including performance improvements and aerodynamic parts, such as wings and wide body kits. Other upgrades featured in the video that we were happy to see include a racing damper, brake balance controller, racing exhaust manifold, and torque vector center differential. The game will offer new cars from more than 50 manufacturers and used car dealers where players can buy models at a discount or premium.

Sony’s Video State of Play is just scratching the surface Gran Turismo 7 have to offer. There are important basic systems that work together to simulate a real-world racing experience, and the attention to detail goes far beyond racing mechanics, using detailed data for weather effects, night skies, and more.

Sony says players will experience a lot Gran Turismo 7 offered in only the first few hours of gameplay. The game arrives for two PlayStation consoles on March 4.
