The small Mercedes-Benz GLA-CLass crossover gets a facelift. This collection of spy shots lets us see the revised front and rear. The development vehicle in these photos is near the automaker’s factory in Stuttgart, Germany.
Compared to the current GLA-Class, this one seems to have new headlights with a more rounded and less complicated shape. The lattice has a more defined trapezoidal line with the upper part being shorter than the lower part. In contrast, the existing design is more oval in shape. The logo in the center seems to double as a sensor for the driver assistance system.

The lower fascia on this GLA-Class has a trapezoidal opening. Judging by the existing models, we expect the actual design to be more complex and make room for fog lamps or styling elements in the corners.
At the rear, the camouflage only covers the taillights. Looks like they might get different graphics but have the same shape.
These photos only give us a glimpse of the steering wheel in the cabin. The interior changes are a complete mystery. Judging by other Mercedes refreshes, an update to the infotainment system is possible.
At this point, it’s too early to tell if Mercedes intends to make any powertrain changes to match this styling refresh.
The existing GLA version only debuted in 2020 as a 2021 model year product. So, it’s a bit surprising to see the automaker develop an updated version. This suggests that we may not see a debut too soon. Our spies predict a 2024 launch for 2025MY products.
Other spy shots show Mercedes developing the EQA and EQB as fully electric counterparts to the GLA and GLB Classes. They arrived after a delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. Both have closed grilles because EVs don’t have the same cooling requirements as ICE vehicles. They also have different headlights from the combustion powered variant.
