Starting with the 2024 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq will get a more traditional lineup of trim levels, following the trim structure offered on other crossovers in the luxury marque’s portfolio.
The Cadillac Lyriq 2023 launches with the Debut Edition, a limited edition trim level available exclusively on early units of the luxury electric crossover. Two additional trim levels, Luxury RWD and Luxury AWD, arrive later this year for the 2023 model year. As a reminder, the Luxury trim represents the base trim levels available, in keeping with the luxury marque’s Y-trim level strategy. That means the Lyriq is currently only available in the most affordable trim levels.
For the 2024 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq will get a more robust lineup of trim levels that will include Luxury, along with Premium Luxury and Sport trims, each bringing high-end features to the electric luxury crossover. Further ahead, there may also be a top-tier Platinum trim offered over the Premium Luxury and Sport trims, but this has yet to be confirmed.
We also hope that more exterior color options will be available. Currently, the Cadillac Lyriq 2023 is only offered in two exterior colors: Satin Steel Metallic and Stellar Black Metallic. Two more colors – Opulent Blue Metallic and Crystal White Tricoat – will join the lineup for the 2023 model year, making a total of four exterior colors, so there is definitely room to offer a wider variety of exterior colors.
The same goes for the interior. Currently, only two interior colorways – Noir and Sky Cool Grey – are offered. Thus, there is a lot of room to expand the list of interior combination options. Additionally, leather seating could also be introduced to the electric luxury crossover, as the only interior material on offer is Inteluxe simulated leather.
The addition of a new trim level can open the door to a wider variety of other exterior styling options, such as a wider wheel selection. Currently, the Cadillac Lyriq 2023 only offers two wheels – a standard set of 20-inch wheels and an optional set of 22-inch wheels. More and different wheel options can open up tons of customization opportunities for Lyriq buyers.
More than that, Cadillac Society recently learned that the Lyriq will eventually be offered with a heated rear outboard seat. The feature, which is not offered on the 2023 model year vehicles, is likely to join the lineup as part of an upscale trim level, such as Premium Luxury or Sport.
The Cadillac Lyriq has proven to be a highly sought after vehicle. When the order book opens on May 19ththey fill up in no time, although interested parties can now sign up for the waiting list by placing a fully refundable $100 deposit.
Prices for the Lyriq Luxury RWD start at $62,900, while the Lyriq Luxury AWD starts at $64,900.
