All new Sequoia classes come with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo hybrid V6 engine that produces 437 horsepower (326 kilowatts) and 583 pound-feet (790 Newton-meters) of torque. The only gearbox option is a 10-speed automatic. Buyers can choose rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. This SUV can tow up to 9,520 pounds (4,318 kilograms).
The SR5 is Sequoia’s entry-level trim. It comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, moon roof and heated seats. The optional Premium package includes a 14-inch infotainment screen, powered third-row seats, a hands-free liftgate and a 120-volt power outlet. The available TRD Sport package includes Bilstein monotube shocks, revised springs and aluminum pedals. It also replaces the standard 18-inch alloy wheels with a 20-inch design in matte black.

The Platinum trim level augments the Limited by including perks such as heated and ventilated second-row captain seats, 14-speaker stereo, panoramic moonroof, heads-up display, Qi wireless charging, and rain-sensing wipers. This class also has LED headlights and taillights.
The TRD Pro grade is for people who intend to go off-road, and it only comes with four-wheel drive. This version of the Sequoia has a light bar in the center of the grille. It also has Fox internal bypass shocks, 1/4-inch-thick aluminum skid plates, Multi-Terrain Select traction control rear locking differential, crawl control, descent assist control and dual exhaust tips. This vehicle uses 18-inch wheels with increased offset to provide a wider position. Inside, there is a second row captain’s seat.
Capstone is the highest trim level with all the features of Platinum and beyond. It gets a running power board and rides on 22-inch wheels with a chrome finish. Inside, there’s semi-aniline leather on the seats in a black-and-white color combination. American Walnut open-porous wood trim adorns the dashboard and center console. This grade is the only version of the Sequoia to have acoustic glass on the front door to provide better sound suppression.
