It’s been a while since Ram updated its line of 3500 HD trucks. The latest substantial change is from two years ago, and it looks like the automaker is set to deliver a 3500 refresh for the next model year.
Seen to our eyes, the 2023 Ram 3500 HD in Dually form looks to test for the first time. Only a few pieces are hidden in the prototype, which can tell us that only subtle updates are to be expected on the burly three-box carrier. The updated 3500 will debut later this year.

Most of the changes will be seen at the front, especially on the hood. The encased section appears to hide the intake ram air – similar to what’s found on the GM HD Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra twin trucks. The side mirrors are also hidden, thought to be part of the mirror technology update that the Ram 3500 will reportedly get.
We are talking about the Magna Clearview camera monitoring system, which was announced to debut this year. According to sources familiar with the information, several variants of the 2023 Ram 3500 are said to be getting the new technology.
The Clearview Magna camera monitoring system features frameless rearview mirrors that can electronically switch between traditional rearview mirrors and video displays. The digital display has an adjustable field of view and can display up to three camera views simultaneously. When passengers, cargo and/or trailers restrict the driver’s view, this technology is very helpful.
Meanwhile, the Ram is already primed for electrification, with 1500 electric trucks confirmed for a fall 2022 debut. The company released a teaser in April, giving us our first look at the battery-powered pickup to come.
