We all know that Richard Hammond loved the Ford Mustang. But what can he say about another American muscle? Who has four doors and produces more than 700 horses?
Meet, Tribe Drivethe newest resident vehicle – the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. And while the sedan fits the bill, Hammond hasn’t driven it yet, which brings us to this new episode where he goes to work in a muscle car.
For a change, Hammond says he wants to be mature about the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. He failed after pressing the start button and hearing the deep roar of the engine.

Hammond’s first comment about the Charger is its sheer size. In fact, he repeatedly mentions how big the car is in nine minutes – in some direct variation of the thesaurus. He even compared it to a Range Rover, saying it was wider than a Land Rover and felt that way too.
Beyond the comments on size, Hammond was quick to mention the Charger’s cheap interior, showing the plastic and leather seats like candy. Although, he concluded that the cabin “didn’t feel bad”, so there it was.
Hammond is confused as to what the Hellcat Charger actually looks like. He couldn’t call it a muscle car because it had four doors. He believed that muscle cars should be just about engines; everything else around the V8 is just a supporting cast.
Lastly, Hammond compared the Charger to the BMW M5 – a super-powered executive sedan with an American flair.
