Mercedes GLE Coupe Refresh Spied Taking A Run Around The Nurburgring

[ad_1]

The updated Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe wears very light camouflage in this new spy shot gallery. There is only a slight flap on the nose and tail of this car as it crosses the Nürburgring.

Compared to the existing GLE-Class Coupe, this one has a new lower fascia that has a more complex shape. The entry holes in the corners are smaller and additional bodywork occupies this space. The lower inlet continues to have a trapezoidal shape but with sharper edges.

The shape of the headlights looks the same, but the camouflage showing the style inside the headlights may be different. There’s still a horizontal running light at the top, but the vertical section on the inner edge looks missing.

The changes at the rear are even smaller. The taillights appear to have a slightly different shape with a flatter top.

It’s not easy to see through these images, but our spies reported seeing a different steering wheel. The cabin is also alleged to have updated the infotainment system software.

The powertrain changes are a mystery. The yellow sticker on the rear windshield on this one indicates it has a hybrid powertrain.

The regular and boxier GLE-Class also have a refresh coming up. The recipe for the tweak is the same. The lower fascia and headlights have a fresh look, and the taillights receive an upgrade. Similarly, the aggressive AMG variants have their own styling revisions on the horizon.

Mercedes hasn’t teased a debut date for the updated GLE-Class family yet. Instead, the updated GLC-Class will arrive on June 1. After that, look for revisions for the larger crossover to arrive and sell for either the 2023 or 2024 model years.

The existing GLE Coupe debuted in the summer of 2019 and goes on sale for the 2021 model year. It is the second generation of the swoopy model to be part of the Mercedes lineup.
