Every week we publish many renderings. While some of them see actual new models coming in the next few months, others are mostly done for fun. They envision super-futuristic creations that likely won’t hit the production line any time soon, if ever at all.

here at Motor1.com, we all love virtual images and that’s why we thought we’d share one additional rendering article each week. It combines the best of design exercises created by our own artists, as well as images provided by independent automotive designers, students, and just regular gearheads.

We’ll be updating this article with new renderings from last week every Thursday. That way, you’ll have all the cool digital interpretations that come in handy when you want a glimpse into the future.

Mazda has confirmed it won’t be launching a new Mazda6 based on the CX-60 platform, though that doesn’t mean we can’t dream up a bit. This rendering proposes a radical new look for the sedan, combined with proportions specific to a car based on the RWD platform.

Toyota is shifting its EV strategy into a higher gear with no less than 15 new zero-emissions vehicles coming from Toyota and Lexus. The Japanese company is expected to develop a competitor to the Volkswagen ID.3, and this is what it looks like.

Volkswagen is already working on the next generation Passat, which is expected to be the last generation Passat with combustion power. The plug-in hybrid version will likely steal the bulk of the diesel-powered model’s sales, and we now have this rendering featuring its sleek exterior design.

Hyundai’s electric sedan design was put back on the drawing board for a final makeshift makeover, but the final product is expected to arrive in the coming months. This rendering shows a stylish and sleek electric sedan with influences from the Prophecy concept.
