Just a few weeks ago AutoTopNL released a video of the Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition doing a high-speed run on the autobahn. Now, the channel is back with another CTR, and it has a stage 2 tone.

The stock Civic Type R in Europe makes 316 horsepower (236 kilowatts) and 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-meters. This one has 381 hp (284 kW or 386 metric hp) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm), according to text at the beginning of the video. We didn’t get a list of mods, but the exhaust sounds more aggressive than the CTR from the showroom.

The driver makes the most of his trip in a tuned Civic. He rowed up and down gears. He also stopped on the road several times to do a 0-62 mile per hour (100 kilometers) run. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the phone clearly to see the acceleration time of the car.

This Civic Type R loves to spin and looks like it would be a lot of fun to shift gears on curvy roads. This car also has a lot of performance on the autobahn. There was some traffic while shooting this video, so the driver had to try a few times before pushing the CTR speed fully.

The speedometer finally showed 275 kph (171 mph). It looks like there’s still about 500 rpm left before the tachometer reaches the red line, so the car might be able to go a little faster with a fairly long stretch of road.

In comparison, the Civic Type R Limited Edition in the previous video hit 162 mph (261 kph). GPS shows a speed of 155 mph (250 kph).

The next-generation Civic Type R will premiere globally at an event in Europe in June. The model will premiere in North America during the NTT IndyCar Series race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

The new Civic Type R is reportedly using a version of the current model’s 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. We expect strength to increase a bit. A manual gearbox is the only transmission option. This is already setting a lap record for a front-wheel drive vehicle around Suzuka.
