At this point, the Tesla EV is recognized not only as an electric luxury vehicle but also a drag race competitor. Even the humble Model 3 has what it takes to suck up the ICE powered vehicles out there.
But can the Model 3, the entry-level Tesla, beat the Lamborghini Urus in a drag race? That’s what this fight wants to know, it belongs to England carwow.
The Tesla Model 3 here is not naked. This is a Performance Model 3 model, which means it has two electric models that power each axle without any gearbox. According to the specifications in the video, the total power output of the two motors is 490 horsepower (365 kilowatts) and instantaneous torque of 487 pound-feet (660 Newton-meters).

The Lamborghini Urus has a huge advantage on paper alone. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine produces 641 hp (478 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque, also sent to all four wheels.
Tesla’s advantage over the giant super SUV in the video is in terms of weight. The Model 3 is lighter than the Urus by about 765 pounds (347 kilograms), which should offset Lamborghini’s power advantage.
Another point of comparison is their launch. The Model 3 will launch flawlessly almost every time, while the Urus, as shown, is kind of hit or miss despite its all-wheel drive system.
In terms of acceleration, the two rivals here are on the same ground. Both can sprint to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 3.3 seconds. In short, it’s a well-balanced game despite the big difference in price.
In the end, who do you think finishes the quarter mile sprint first? Watch the video at the top of this page and let us know what you think below.
