After seeing lots of spy shots, the BMW M4 CSL will debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este which will take place from 20 to 22 May. To hype the release, the Bavarian brand has two new teaser images showing the front and back. of the hotter coupe.

The new photos show the M4 CSL’s headlights and taillights. Unfortunately, the lighting didn’t let us see the rest of the exterior design as it was very dark.

Spy shots from the M4 CSL development give us a much better look at the exterior designs, despite the camouflage on their bodies. At the front, there is a more aggressive front fascia with additional openings at the bottom compared to the standard M4. The more prominent dividers are also part of the design.

Along the sides, the sills along the lower edge of the body protrude further.

At the rear, there is a large spoiler sticking out of the trunk lid. There are four large diameter exhaust holes sticking out under the bumper. They were separated into pairs with a bit of bodywork between them.

We haven’t had a good look inside the M4 CSL yet. A series of spy shots (gallery below) show the seats reinforced with the M4 branding in the space that separates the headrests from the seatbacks.

The M4 CSL will reportedly use a revised version of the standard twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six coupe. Power output is expected to grow to around 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts), versus 503 hp (375 kW) in the Competition variant. According to rumors, an automatic gearbox will be the only transmission option.

In addition to the extra power, the M4 CSL reportedly lost about 220 pounds (100 kilograms) compared to the regular model. The diet includes getting rid of the back seat and installing lighter bodywork. To keep weight down, rear-wheel drive is supposedly the only layout.

The M4 CSL will reportedly be a limited model with production perhaps as low as 1,000 units. Later, the M4 CS will come which is allegedly having a more powerful engine but not as much as a lighter component. The M3 CS sedan is also on its way.
