Polestar has announced US pricing for the Polestar 2 2023, along with other updates that accompany the new model year. As far as numbers go, there have been improvements – though it’s important to note that the company has also delivered substantial updates to the fastback EV, including increased vehicle range.
The Polestar 2 2023 Single Motor now starts at $48,400 – up $1,200 from before. The Dual Motor variant now starts at $51,900. Both prices are before the applicable $1,400 destination fee and a $7,500 Federal Tax Credit.

As for the increase in range, only the Polestar 2 Dual Motor 2023 has seen the upgrade, with a US EPA initial estimate of 260 miles of range. The upgrade is thanks to a software upgrade, implementing an 11-mile upgrade from the 2022 model year. The Polestar 2 Single Motor 2023 model is still rated 270 miles by the EPA.
Updates to the Polestar 2 for the new model year were announced recently, but not all of them are available in the US. The US-spec Polestar 2 will have an upgraded heat pump designed for better cold weather performance, new design options throughout the car’s interior and exterior, and more advanced air quality sensors.
The Polestar 2 is now available in a “Space” metallic black, plus a new “Jupiter” metallic color has been added to the list of color options. Both the standard 19-inch and optional 20-inch wheels have been redesigned. Inside, a new ventilated Nappa leather option is available in a light gray “Zinc” finish, which is paired with new Light Ash wood trim.
There is a new performance software upgrade to the Performance Package for the 2023 model year. The upgrade adds 68 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque to the car. The Performance Pack is only available for the dual motor variant, but will also be available for purchase as a separate software upgrade for existing and future dual motor cars, with and without the Performance Pack.
Deliveries of the Polestar 2 2023 will begin in September this year.
