Here’s The New Blaze Orange Metallic Color

The 2022 Cadillac CT5 gets one new exterior color: Blaze Orange Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new orange hue.

Production code defined GCF and touch paint code WA-626G, Blaze Orange Metallic is one of 10 exterior colors available for the 2022 Cadillac CT5. The full color lineup includes:

  • Black Crow
  • Crystal White Tricoat
  • Metallic Sky Diamond
  • Metallic Garnet
  • Infrared Tintcoat
  • Metallic Steel Satin
  • metallic shadow
  • White Peak
  • Metallic Wave
  • Blaze Orange Metallic (new for 2022)

The Blaze Orange Metallic color is a surcharge item that adds an additional $625 to the vehicle’s price. The new color is available on the CT5 Sport, as well as the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, but not on the Luxury or Premium Luxury trims. In fact, the CT5-V Blackwing is the model that introduced the Blaze Orange hue.

Blaze Orange can only be combined with the following interior colorways:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black accents
  • Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents
  • Sangria with Jet Black accent

For reference, here are six available 2022 Cadillac CT5 interior color combination:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black accents
  • Maple Sugar with Jet Black accents
  • Sahara Beige with Jet Black accents
  • Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents
  • Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents

The Cadillac CT5 range received some minor changes for the 2022 model year, including the removal of three exterior colors – Velocity Red, Evergreen Metallic, and Dark Blue Moon Metallic. It has been indirectly replaced by Blaze Orange Metallic, Dark Emerald Frost (V Blackwing only), and Electric Blue (V and V-Blackwing only).

Additionally, the luxury sedan introduces the new Onyx Package for the 2022 model year, which adds glossy black alloy wheels and various black exterior trim pieces. There is also a new Radiant Package that gives the car a brighter exterior accent. Lastly, GM has also added standard wireless phone charging along with more standard active safety features.

Additionally, the CT5 family expands with the introduction of the ultra-performance Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 2022 model. Taking the CT5-V to the next level, the Blackwing CT5-V is powered by Cadillac’s supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), which produces 668 horsepower. and 659 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission sourced from Tremec, while a Cadillac 10-speed automatic is available as an option.

The CT5-V Blackwing also features unique front and rear fascia, an upgraded chassis and suspension system, improved performance brakes and two available carbon fiber aero packages. Meanwhile, the “regular” CT5-V packs a Cadillac 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine (production code LGY), pumping out a very healthy 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.

The 2022 Cadillac CT5 is produced at the Cadillac Lansing Grand River Plant in Michigan for all markets except China, alongside the Cadillac CT4 sedan.
