You might see a bright white Land Rover Defender 110 at your local dealer this summer, driving white steel wheels and sporting a few off-road accessories. This is not a one-off creation, but rather one of 500 factory-made Defender 30th Anniversary Edition models that pay homage to the 1993 Defender 110 First Edition.
Defender fans will note that the first model was actually launched in 1983, but it didn’t reach the United States until 10 years later. As such, the new 30th Anniversary Editions are intended for North American dealers only, and are each based on the 110 P300 S model. All will sport the same color scheme of Fuji White on the outside, with ebony grain leather upholstery inside. . Gloss while 18-inch steel wheels and heritage-inspired badges are part of the package.
A number of accessories are also installed for the 30th Anniversary Edition. Emphasizing the Defender’s off-road cut, the special 110 gets a cool roof rack, fixed side steps, fender flares, attachable ladder, grille guards, mud covers for all four tires, and rubber mats for the interior. Many Land Rover packages are included as standard kit, with an off-road package, tow package, cold climate package, and black exterior package in between.

The Defender returns to the US market in 2020 with the current-generation model, ending a 13-year hiatus. Since then we’ve gotten the Defender V8 with 518 horsepower (386 kilowatts) from the supercharged 5.0-liter V8. A cooler Defender is reportedly in the works, likely sporting the SVR moniker and packing 600 hp (447 kW) with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 borrowed from BMW.
The Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition 2023 is available to order now. Prices start at $76,350, including a $1,350 destination fee.
