The Mercedes-AMG A 35 and CLA 35 are the latest models from the brand to receive the 55 Edition model. Currently, these models are exclusive to Europe. Motor1.com contacted Mercedes to see if they planned to offer this special version of the CLA 35 in the United States.
The 55th Edition model celebrates 55 years of AMG. Special versions of the A 35 and CLA 35 are available in Cosmos Black Metallic or Digital White Metallic bodies. They received a line on the lower door panel that shows a portion of the AMG logo. This vehicle uses 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with a Titanium Gray matte finish.

This 55 Edition model comes as standard with the AMG Aerodynamics Package which includes a larger front splitter, rear wing and glossy black sections for the diffuser and air ducts. They also come with the AMG Night Package and Night Package II which add a glossy black finish to most of the exterior trim.
As a final touch, the vehicle has an AMG-branded fuel cap, black chrome exhaust trim and tinted windows.
The cabin of this model has upholstery in a two-tone mix of red and black leather. Dinamica faux suede covers the steering wheel, and there is a “55 AMG” logo at the 6 o’clock position. The floor mat has the red “55 Edition” branding. The lintel tread plate has the illuminated AMG logo.
The special model is also equipped with an AMG branded car cover. When in the vehicle, the division logo is on the windshield.
If you live in Germany, the Edition 55 models of the A 35 and CLA 35 add €12,614 to the model cost. They are available now.
The previously announced 55 Edition is for the G 63. This model is available in Obsidian Black Metallic or G Manufacturing Opalite White and has a stripe with the AMG logo on the bottom of the door. This car uses 22-inch forged wheels with a cross bar design and a Matt Tantalum Gray finish. They get the AMG Night Package and the Night Package II, which add dark accents.
