The new iteration of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic surrounds the Nürburgring in this spy video. The clip gives a great look at the upcoming model as the automaker doesn’t appear to have camouflaged this car.
At the front, the 911 Sport Classic has a revised hood that has a sharp recess in the center, creating creases on each side of this area. This element continues onto the roof to create a double-bubble look.

There are two examples of Sport Classic on the track in this video. The number plated 4050 wears wheels with a Y-shaped spoke pattern. The car with a plate ending in the 4040 rolls on a five-spoke design in a style that evokes classic Fuchs wheels from older 911 examples.
The previous iteration of the 911 Sport Classic from the 2010 model year also had Fuchs-inspired alloy wheels. It’s unclear whether both designs with Y-shaped spokes and a five-spoke layout might be available on the new one.
At the rear, the new 911 Sport Classic sports a ducktail spoiler. The rear lower fascia includes a pair of oval-shaped exhaust outlets. There are also openings in each outer corner that appear larger than those on the existing 911 variant.
No spy shots of the interior of the new 911 Sport Classic. Using the previous model as a guide, we expect a touch of retro styling, such as for the seats and cabin trim.
There’s no official word yet on the new Sport Classic powertrain. The leading rumor is that it shares the engine with the 911 GTS. If so, this model will have a twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six that produces 473 horsepower (352 kilowatts) and 420 pound-feet (569 Newton-meters) of torque. The choice of transmission is also a mystery.
We don’t know when the new Sport Classic will debut. Although, all signs suggest that it opens sometime this year. We expect this model to be available in very limited quantities. Porsche only offered 250 examples from the previous iteration, and they sold them all before the company even launched the vehicle.
