The new Ford Ranger Raptor is upon us, and Blue Oval made sure we all found out through a cryptic QR code teaser during last year’s standard Ranger reveal.
While we await the launch of the real thing, our friends from College imagine what the next Ranger Raptor will look like through these two renderings. These unofficial images are based on recent spy shots of the gnarly pickup, which may or may not be accurate. For what it’s worth, we think they’re close.

The renderings here follow the design ethos of the upcoming Ford Ranger. The C-shaped DRL, square corners, and unassuming taillight graphics are all in sync with the new Ranger. The only deviations, which are to be expected based on the outgoing model, are the front bumper design and the word FORD marking on the grille. The proportions of the bumper and fog lamp housing bode well in this unofficial rendering.
On the back, a similar wordmark is also present, sitting above the darkened part. Interestingly, the rear bumper lacks the stepboards found on the regular Ranger – a feature also missing on the prototype seen on Thai roads.
The most important detail to know about the next Ranger Raptor is its powertrain setup. A V6 petrol engine with two turbos could appear based on a teaser from last year. The V6 turbodiesel is also a possible candidate for other markets.
If you want something hotter, Ford is allegedly working on a V8-powered Ranger Raptor R. However, we won’t hold our breath on that as it’s unconfirmed at this point.
Perhaps the biggest question is: will the Ranger Raptor be available for the US market? We’ll have to wait and see.
