Rolls-Royce is synonymous with bespoke creations. This year, the latest to come out of Goodwood is called Phantom Orchid – a one-off masterpiece made especially for Singapore. This is the second vehicle to be commissioned for the first Asian country in the world, after the SG50 Bespoke Rolls-Royce Ghost which celebrates the country’s 50th Anniversary.
Known as the Lion City, Singapore’s national flower is the hybrid orchid known as Vanda ‘Miss Joaquim.’ For Rolls-Royce, orchids were chosen as the inspirational theme for resilience, beauty and strength.

Rolls-Royce chose the Phantom with a long wheelbase as the blank canvas for this one-of-a-kind creation. The company says that it took the Bespoke Collective two years to create the Phantom Orchid through the collaborative efforts of designers, craftspeople and craftspeople.
“Our concept envisions a balanced yet progressive design that echoes the values of the Singapore region. Orchids are seen in many aspects of Asian life, a reminder that the tough adapt and thrive regardless of the evolving environment,” said Michael Bryden, Lead Designer, Rolls- Royce Bespoke. Bryden is also the lead designer of the SG50 Bespoke Ghost.
What sets the Phantom Orchid apart is the subtle design that is applied to the cabin by the hands of UK-based artist and textile designer Helen Amy Murray. Phantom features a Gallery featuring artwork and self-expression objects in the car.
In the case of the Phantom Orchid, Murray creates a unique, hand-sculpted piece of silk art behind pristine glass that stretches uninterruptedly across the car’s fascia. Paired with Grace White, Havana and Smoke Gray with Dark Olive stitching, the interior is meant to evoke elegance and serenity.
On the other hand, Rolls-Royce Bespoke Designer Yohan Benchetrit created an orchid-inspired picnic table insert for the rear cabin, which further complements the overall theme.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom Orchid comes with a unique Arctic White exterior paint with a purple tinge. This is combined with fine glass particles for a pearly finish.
Rolls-Royce has yet to reveal the price of its newest one-off creation.
