Exclusive New Photos Confirm 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V ESV Variant

[ad_1]

Last week, Cadillac unmasked the upcoming Cadillac Escalade-V 2023, confirming a new high-performance variant of the full-size SUV that we’ve reported on here at Cadillac Society over the last few years. Now, we managed to snap some real-world photos of the powerful SUV, but there’s something special about this particular example: it sports an extended ESV body style.

To understand the importance of these photos, we must take a few steps back and review how we got here. One of the (very few) things Cadillac confirmed about the Escalade-V during its soft announcement last week was that it would definitely be offered in a regular wheelbase, as evidenced in the official photos provided by the luxury brand. Cadillac promises to reveal more information in the coming months, including details such as body styling and full powertrain specs. In other words, Cadillac never announced that the Escalade-V would be available in an extended Escalade ESV form, but our exclusive photos confirm it.

This particular example sports a Black Raven exterior coloration, and apart from the long wheelbase body style, everything inside is identical to the regular long Escalade-V presented last week. Note the liberal use of black trim, including on the front fascia, Daylight Opening trim (otherwise known as DLO trim) around the windows, black C-pillar treatment, and black quad exhaust tips, as we’ve seen on the very high-performance Cadillac Blackwing sedan.

So far, there are no total technical details about the Cadillac Escalade-V, but we do know that it will utilize a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), the same factory placed under the hood. CT5-V Blackwing, with 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The supercharged V8 output for the Escalade-V will likely come up with a few different numbers, but sources say Cadillac Society expect at least 640 horsepower.

As a reminder, the regular-length Cadillac Escalade has an overall length of 211.9 inches and a wheelbase of 120.9 inches. While the extended-length ESV variant is 277 inches long with a wheelbase of 134.1 inches. The additional length of the ESV allows for more space in the third passenger row as well as more cargo storage.
