Cadillac Society Take

The significant drop in sales of the Cadillac XT4 during the fourth quarter of 2021, as well as throughout the calendar year, was a direct result of a lack of inventory at the dealer level due to the stalled production of the luxury compact crossover. The ongoing global shortage of microchips forced Cadillac to discontinue production of the XT4 at its Cadillac Fairfax plant in mid-February 2021, and assembly resumed only for the 2022 model year.

This series of events has resulted in very limited dealerships of Cadillac XT4s throughout calendar year 2021. Despite the poor sales figures posted in 2021, we expect sales of Cadillac XT4s to increase during calendar year 2022 as microchip shortages ease and XT4 production remains at full capacity.
