The spectacular NIO ET5 family is already in Europe filming its advertising campaign

A few weeks ago we knew about the project of the manufacturer NIO to launch a family version of its ET5 saloon. A leak that has now come true thanks to the photographs published by the Asian brand during the start of filming for the ads that will present this version in Europe.

this model of 4.79 meters long will fit into segment D (medium sedans), a category in which it will have to face the imminent Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer, as well as other proposals such as the Audi A6 Avant e-tron, the A4 Avant, the BMW 3 Series Touring or the Volvo V60, and that in the images we can see how it will go with a proposal with an extremely clean and attractive appearance.

In the photos provided by the brand we can see a unit of the NIO ET5 Touring during a doing outside of a promo shoot in Norway. In this, the ET5 Touring sports an attractive Airspace Blue paint and a roof box, which emphasizes the family character of this variant.

Based on the NT2.0 platform, the NIO ET5 family is equipped with the same powertrain as the sedan; that is, a set of two motors capable of performing 489 PS (360 kW). According to the leaked information, its maximum speed will be 200 km/h and it will be able to tow up to 1,400 kg thanks to a retractable hitch that is offered as an option.

The ET5 sedan is available with two battery packs, one of 75 kWh (70.5 useful kWh) and another of 100 kWh (90 useful kWh), which provide a range similar to the sedan, which, as we remember, achieves between 456 and 590 km WLTP respectively.

Later the offer must be completed with some 150 kWh semi-solid batteries Manufactured by supplier WeLion. At the load level, the ET5 can reach a maximum of 140 kW in direct current, recovering 80% of its autonomy in 31 (75 kWh) and 40 minutes (100 kWh).

In the German market, the NIO ET5 saloon costs 61,900 euros with the 75 kWh battery and 70,900 euros with the 100 kWh battery, rates that should not vary too much in the family version.

He the debut of the ET5 family will take place in Europe in June or July later this year, with customer deliveries to begin shortly thereafter. Although it will also be offered in China, the company hopes that its main market will be the old continent.
