In this case, the power of the star is extremely extreme. Denzel Washington has won numerous awards in his nearly half-century career, including two Oscars. Apparently, he also likes 911 because this auction listing is on Bring Trailer states he bought a new car in 1997. He’s featured as the sole owner in 911’s 25-year history, and it doesn’t just sit in the collection all the time. The dashboard image shows 18,145 miles on the odometer – certainly not much but it shows the car is enjoyed for its iconic performance.

The online auction ends on March 30 with a fairly fitting final bid price of $405,993. We know the 993-era 911 brought in strong cash these days, but it seems star power did factor into this sale. Extending one year older, duPont Registry also offers a 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo with 26,949 miles for $318,900.

With over 400 horsepower and a six-speed manual transmission to all four wheels, the 993 generation 911 Turbo was the benchmark sports car of the mid to late 1990s. In the years that followed, this was arguably the most sought-after Porsche 911 generation of all.
